Abstract: One-dimensional rod-like NaV2O5 was synthesized by hydrothermal method, which draws much attention as an exotic spin-Peierls compound. The samples have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission election microscopy (TEM), and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The pH value and the reducing agent are critical for synthesizing NaV2O5 nanorods. The reducing agent NH2OH may play a key role in the assembly and growth of nanorods of products.
